Super sweet staff and the fried chicken livers were really good! It's not an elaborate menu so don't expect anything too out of the ordinary or over the top, but it was decent portions and decent prices. We truly loved our waitress who made it seem like we'd been going there for years versus just a couple of times (and our first seeing/having her serve us!)
You had me at tenderloin! I always look for good breakfast places when I travel, and this one popped up on Yelp when I was in Kingsport. As soon as I saw tenderloin on the menu, I knew this was the place. I went on a Saturday morning about an hour before closing, and there were plenty of open tables. I was welcomed and seated immediately. There were three excellent breakfast specials on the board that featured something for just about everyone. I ended up ordering off the menu. The portions were very generous, and the food was absolutely delicious from start to finish! I started with coffee, and ordered a scrambled egg with two pieces of tenderloin which came with a biscuit. I added gravy to the biscuit for a nominal charge, and I also added a side of grits to the meal. The wait was reasonable, and the food was perfectly prepared. I'm not sure what happened on the days that these negative reviews on Yelp occurred, but I can tell you my experience was great, and the many locals who were there also seemed to enjoy it. All of the staff was nothing but friendly, and they all pitched in with serving the meal in some way. If you want a great breakfast in Kingsport, Cafe 93 is a top notch choice any morning to start your day and keep you fueled well into the day!
